I’ve seen it: Josh Course
If you had asked most Weber Q100 grill owners if size mattered, they would have said yes, but not for the reasons you think!
This unusual small grill challenges what we as consumers expect from a portable grill. He’s small, but he fries almost anything you can imagine.
And it’s built to last. High-quality materials are used everywhere to ensure that this will continue to be the case in the years to come.
But what about the size? Is it too small?
The manufacturer has stopped the production of Weber Q 100!
It’s been replaced by a new model. Look back soon for a new review, or click here to see it on Amazon!
About Weber Q 100
This is a very high quality grill at a very reasonable price. The Q 100 model is made of robust materials that can withstand both heat and the elements and is known for its durability and long service life.
It has a cast iron lid and an aluminium housing, making it ideal for convection gratings.
The large round stainless steel burner does not rust and delivers 8500 BTU.
The porcelain-covered cast-iron grill has a cooking area of 189 square inches that offers plenty of space for everything from hot dogs and hamburgers to steaks and chicken.
The frame is reinforced with nylon. Combine this with the aluminium grill housing and you have a portable gas grill that is rusty andweatherproof.
Other notable features
- Easy to clean thanks to a disposable and removable drip system.
- Easy to carry thanks to its sturdy side handles, it weighs 29 pounds.
- The sensitive temperature control makes it easy to find the right frying temperature.
You want a Weber Q, but you don’t know which model to buy? Take the beginning of this handy comparison table to see the important differences between all models, including this one.
What’s going on?
The Q 100 is delivered in different units, but must essentially be delivered assembled. Inside the box you will find the housing, cover, grille, control knob, handle and accessories necessary for the complete assembly of the device.
A removable dropper and a disposable insert are also included. It also contains assembly instructions and a recipe book with some great barbecue ideas.
Otherwise, additional accessories are not included in the scope of delivery.
Very little installation work is required and fortunately what you need is very simple. The only tool you need is a Phillips screwdriver. The total duration of the meeting should be approximately 20 minutes.
To mount the unit, attach the cover to the housing and the handle of the front cover to the cover. The control knob must also be attached, but no tools are required. When everything is ready, put on the grate, slide the drawer with disposable material underneath and you’re ready to go!

Dimensions and weights
- Height: 23.5 inch with the lid open, 14 inch with the lid closed.
- Width: 27 inches from side to side
- Depth: 20.5 inches front and rear.
The Q 100 controller uses 14.1 oz or 16.4 oz disposable propane cylinders mounted under the carrying handle on the right side of the device.
A 16-ounce cylinder, when used as a broiler and not as a convection oven, shall be sufficient for at least 5 dishes.
The use of larger and more economical reusable propane tanks is possible thanks to a separately available adapter hose.
The Weber Q 100 gas barbecue comes with a fairly extensive warranty.
All die-cast aluminium parts (body, lid) have a warranty of and 5 years to, with the exception of the paint, which has a 2 year warranty to prevent discoloration. Among the parts made of thermoplastic or duroplastic material that I can only imagine, there are also parts that need to heat up, which are also covered for 5 years, where discoloration is excluded. All other parts will be covered within two years.
Make sure you have your receipt or proof of purchase so that you can make a replacement without any problems.
If you have problems with question 100, I strongly advise you to contact Weber support. They are friendly and very quick in solving problems and shipping spare parts.
Various accessories are available for this grill, including trolleys with wheels and fixed trolleys, a pan that fits perfectly on the grill, lids and much more. What I like about Weber accessories for the Q-line is that none of them are too expensive.
How portable is it?
Although the Weber Q 100 is quite small and light, this grating has a small extra weight because of the cast iron grating. However, the at 29 poundsweighs less.
The rest of the design makes it very comfortable, and it has two sturdy, heat-resistant handles that can be worn on either side of the grill. With this in mind, it can be a little uncomfortable to take it with you at a considerable distance.
Its shape is also worrying. Because it has a very round roof, the can be difficult to store in the if you have little space in the trunk of your car.
Otherwise, its small size is handy for those of us who are limited to small balconies and terraces, and works well for those who need a small grill for their camper trip. As for the late-night parties, this grill allows you to quickly prepare a farandole of hamburgers and hot dogs, but the preparation of a large number of steaks can take some time as the space quickly runs out.
Due to its small size I recommend this grill for two persons.
It may not be very suitable for a family of four, unless you plan to use it only for cooking meat and not for cooking vegetables at the same time.
It’s also ideal if you’re planning on using it only for hot dogs and ready-made hamburgers, as the grilling surface can easily accommodate a dozen hot dogs or half a dozen burgers at a time.
He’s warming up pretty fast. Even with only 8,500 BTU, it can easily reach 500° – 550° F at the highest setting. Indeed, the aluminum housing stores heat very well.
It also distributes the heat very evenly over the entire cooking surface. I didn’t notice any hot or cold spots when I cooked six striped steaks.
The cast iron grate itself is designed to cover the areas directly above the burner, so I noticed very few fires and no smoke.
To heat up a steak and a chicken in this beautiful grill, you need to preheat the grill for about 10 minutes with the lid down, because the grill needs time to warm up – but make no mistake, it will!
I really like how easy it is to clean this grill. It is rarely necessary to clean it thoroughly, but even if that happens, the Weber Q 100 is very easy to clean.
While the grill is still hot, but safe to touch, use a wire brush to remove food debris. You can also wash the grill in the sink with warm soapy water.
The burner rarely needs special attention because the grate is designed to prevent drops from falling on it. However, if you notice that the holes in the burner pipe are clogged, clean it lightly with a wire brush.
Since the rest of the grill is designed to remove grease from underneath, simply wipe it off with a soft cloth and warm soapy water. It’s best to do this before Weber cools down completely.
Then simply empty the pan in which the fat and food waste from the appliance has accumulated.
Disposable eavestroughs are sold in packs of 10 for $6 to $8. They are strong enough to tolerate a large amount of food if properly maintained and cleaned, but for those who want to avoid extra costs, just cover the jars with aluminium foil.
I can’t stress the power of the Q100 enough. It’s a grill designed to last for years, which shouldn’t surprise you if you’ve seen one of Weber’s products.
The base frame and the lid of the oven are made of cast aluminium. The frame is made of very strong fiberglass that can withstand heat. The burner is made of stainless steel and the cast iron grate is covered with porcelain.
What’s this all about?
This means no parts will rust. It’s not a cheap metal that’s dented. I don’t think you can hurt this thing without hitting it with a hammer, but even that would take some work.
Although I did not have any questions, I have read several complaints about the regulatory authority’s refusal. In some cases, this may be a problem for which Weber’s support team will be happy to send you a new copy.
In most cases, the regulator safety valve is activated. It is very sensitive to pressure variations, especially when connected to large tanks.
Fortunately, the regulator safety valve is reset when the gas is shut off or removed for a few minutes. Detailed instructions for using the controller can be found in the Q 100 manual.
Advantages and disadvantages of

Reviews and recommendations
Most customers are very satisfied with the purchase of Q 100 in .
Huge 95% rated with 4 stars or more!
Even those who have small complaints about the grill are often too picky.
The negative complaints I have seen mainly come from people who have received roadside assistance or who have not read the owner’s instructions. One of the critics gave him a star because he couldn’t find a place to sell propane, although I’m sure they didn’t look closely.

I really like all Weber Q grills and the Weber Q 100 is definitely a good choice. The whole line got more positive reviews than negative reviews than any othergrill line, which shows how lucky most owners are.
If you’re looking for something small that can easily feed a few people meat and vegetables, or if you’re looking for something only meat for a small family can handle, this is the perfect grill.
I recommend this grill for those looking for a small table grill for balconies and motorhomes. Even campers with extra storage space will appreciate it.

I moored a portability star on the Q 100 because it had a strange shape that made it difficult to store in the vehicle.
The rest of my experience with the Weber Q 100 has been an absolute pleasure.
