Kitchen phone CGG-200
I’ve seen it: Josh Course
What’s hot: The Cuisinart All Foods CGG-200 is not only very convenient to use, but can also be grilled at exceptionally high temperatures. Its rich features include simple illumination and sensitive temperature control, an integrated thermometer and a cast iron grid.
What is: Although the grill itself weighs about 35 pounds, it is not yet the most portable. Although it is a very robust grill, parts of it are exposed to rust in a very humid climate.
Bottom row: The All Foods CGG-200 grills like a dream. It is ideal for those who want something smaller than a normal-sized barbecue for their terrace or balcony, or for campers and horseshoes who can carry it safely.
About Cuisinart All Foods CGG-200
Although the CGG-200 is considered a powerful portable grille, it probably attracts just as much attention because of its truly beautiful design. It can’t hurt that almost all the frills are in there.
Over the past year, prices of all CGG-200 foods have fallen sharply. From summer 2012, you can find it at a price well below the list price of $250, sometimes up to $100 less.
The CGG-200 is sold under the name Cuisinart, but is actually sold and guaranteed by the Fulham Group. I’ve heard conflicting things about their customer service – some say it’s fantastic, others say it’s terrible. In any case, Kuzinart will not help you directly if you have problems with this grill. The contact details can be found in the manual.
Thanks to Cuisinart’s cast iron grille, the CGG-200 has a very large grid area of 240 square centimetres – much larger than many other table grilles.
I also like the warmth of the CGG-200. Although 12,000 BTU on a burner doesn’t sound too much, it’s more than enough to heat the entire grill to temperatures above 500°F – and in some cases even higher – in just 10 minutes. This is the ideal temperature most professionals recommend for a good search for steaks and chickens.
I like design, too. That’s just great. Model is mainly made of stainless steel and has a double wall for extra insulation. Not only does it look great on your picnic table, but it also keeps your food warm and concentrated and prevents it from being drunk.

How portable is it?
I would describe the CGG-200 as moderately portable, although I find it a bit cumbersome. It has pins on each side and weighs only 35 pounds, so I think it’s portable in that sense. You can easily move it from one place to another.
But when it comes to traveling with him, that’s another story. It’s not a grill you want to walk long distances with. It’s almost 28 centimeters wide, so you definitely need both hands to carry it. I think it would be easier to have an extra person to help you carry it with every person picking up a pen.
Another problem is that you really have to make sure the transport is safe. To test it, I threw it in the back of my little truck and drove around a bit. Because he’s pretty tough, he’s a little jumpy. I’d be afraid to damage it or have screws to keep my legs from falling off.
Otherwise it would be a very good choice if you want something on your terrace.
All Foods CGG-200 stands out here. I put in a 16-litre propane tank and turned it on with a rotary ignition and temperature control. There wasn’t even the slightest indication of a problem – it started right away.
He’s warming up pretty fast. With the lid down, the thermometer indicates after about 8 minutes almost 600° and my oven thermometer, which I placed directly on the grill, has checked this. The rust on the cast iron was more than enough to make my steaks rustle on contact.
I had no problem grilling two striped steaks on one side and a fourth Bulgarian pepper with chopped onions on the other side. It would probably be possible to have 4 steaks with a central strip on one side, but it would be very tight.
An observation during cleaning is that the drip tray is placed under the grid cabinet to catch the drops. I’ve never seen her collect anything! Most of the drops were at the bottom of the grid, which could be cleaned without much effort.
If you only want to cook meat, the CGG-200 can easily cook for 4 and possibly 6 people, depending on the selected meat. Otherwise, I think it’s perfect for two people.
Overall, I found the All Foods CGG-200 to be a very good grill, even if it has a drawback.
A lot of stainless steel and light cast aluminium is used. This means that it is built to withstand the high temperatures it can withstand. The base is made of steel and all fittings are welded. It has an enamel layer to protect it from the weather.
Back from the register? They did not make inlays on the stainless steel aromatic plate of the same quality as the other pieces. If you live in an area with high humidity, especially along the coast, these pills can rust quickly. It’s no problem for me – I live in a dry climate – but I imagine that the operation of the grill would change if this stove wasn’t firmly attached to the burner as intended.
