I’ve seen it: Josh Course
Everything in this grill is about portability, which of course is one of our favourite things!
Although it has a smart design and can be taken almost anywhere, I am worried about how it will fit the average person.
For example, he doesn’t have much room to cook, but he seems to make the best of what he offers.
Despite the robust construction, some important functional components are questionable.
About small gourmet cuisine
Little Gourmet is one of the most portable grills in the area. After installation, it only takes a few seconds to go up and down. When you lift the camera, the legs are stretched and lowered. Just enough for one person to turn it on easily.
The light materials used to store the Small Gourmet Grill are easy to transport, with the exception of the heavy cast iron grids. But even with this extra weight, it’s still less than 20 pounds, including the standard!
Storage and transport is the wind. It doesn’t take up a lot of space and fits easily in any car.
Other notable features
- Box and lid in solid lacquered steel
- Gas regulating knob with integrated ignition
- The drip tray collects grease and other waste water.
- Used as a freestanding grill or table grill.
- Grill Cast Iron has a porcelain enamel layer
- Easy to clean and keep clean
What’s in the box?
When you open the box, you will find the grill with a stand, two legs, a grid and a drip tray. No equipment or anything else to worry about.
The assembly can’t be better if you don’t have to assemble it first!
The Petit Gourmet Cuisinart CGG-180 kitchen combination is simple and uncomplicated to use and no tools are required for assembly. After reading the instructions, an average person should be able to put the whole thing together in less than five minutes.
Simply attach two legs with coloured arrows that fit comfortably on either side of your colleagues.
To be honest, I don’t quite understand why they let us build so much, but at least it’s easy enough to do!

Cooking head height with extended legs: 29.5 inches (slightly shorter!)
The total weight of the device is 17 pounds.
Use either 14.1 oz. or 16.4 oz. liquid propane cylinders. A 16.4 ounce bottle will last about 3 hours if you run the grill at a high level.
You can also choose from all brands of propane hoses designed to connect reusable propane tanks. You don’t need an adapter, you don’t need to buy an adapter made by Cuisinart.
There is a 3 year warranty on manufacturing and defects, but please note that this does not cover the email of the grid. If there is a problem with the coating, you must report it within 30 days!
It seems that Kuzinart does not directly support this grill. If you have a warranty, you should contact the Fulham Group, which sells certain Cuisinart grills in North America. Use the telephone number of the contact person mentioned in the manual.
Not many accessories are available, except for the lid/carry bag. It’s a bit too big to bring a grill, but it leaves room for other things.
Although a hose is available for 20 lb propane tanks, the regulator does not require an adapter, unlike other low pressure diffusers. A well installed hose for the use of propane tanks and refillable grids will work well. I like this hose because it has a pressure gauge.
A Critical overview
What is the portability of the kitchen for small connoisseurs?
As I said, Petit Gourmet’s Kitchen is a portable kitchen!
This grill is suitable for those who need something that is very easy to transport and install.
Even with a stand and a heavy cast iron hob it weighs just 17 pounds, making it one of the lightest barbecues we’ve ever seen.
Moreover, it is small enough to be easily stored in the trunk of the car and it will not be difficult to put things in it.
Method of implementation:
In compact mode, the legs are pressed firmly against the underside of the grill and can be carried like a case with a strange appearance with the grip cap.
When you’ve found a place to settle down, just pull the different legs until they’re completely out. Raise the grill so your feet swing up and down. A simple check to make sure your feet are in a safe position, that’s all!
To open the stand, simply stand on each leg of the grill, pull your body up until you feel your legs unlock, spread your legs to the sides and lower them to the ground until your legs are flat. Then press the release button on your feet and push them back.
Seems to cook well as long as you stick to your favourite basic grill, such as small steaks, chicken breasts, hot dogs and burgers. You know you’re not going to bake big masterpieces.
145 square inch cooking area. I’d say it’s best for two people who want to grill vegetables as well as meat. The young family could count on the preparation of several hamburgers and a few hot dogs at the same time.
I’ve noticed that most publications say he can cook a lot more than I recommend, but in my opinion something else can lead to a crowd.
On the other hand, with its lean 5500 BTUs, it works pretty well, and I think that’s partly due to the lower amount of flame needed to heat the small grill space.
It will reach 500° F at an altitude of about 5 to 10 minutes, and will be hot enough to heat the melt. You may not get a good search, but he will certainly prepare your products within a reasonable time.
As far as I know there are no problems with hot or cold spots, but grilling fatty foods will certainly cause epidemics and a little smoke.
Cleaning is not so hard when you know it’s a grill and it will inevitably get a little dirty.
At the same time, it has an I.V. that makes it possible to collect excess fat and accidentally dispose of food waste. It is easy to remove and empty and can be washed with normal washing water.
Wait until the grill is cool enough to touch, but still warm, and it is best to rub it with a scouring pad. If special attention is required, the grid is small enough to be placed in the sink at night.
The grid can be cleaned with a wire brush, but I recommend finding a brush for softer surfaces instead of a regular wire brush – although that’s only my opinion.
The inside of the body can be wiped with hot soapy water and dishes, but it will be harder to clean under the burner. The manual contains instructions for removing certain parts in order to clean them thoroughly.
Le Petit Gourmet is mainly made of high quality parts. The half-timbered box itself is made of painted stainless steel, and as said, the grid is made of cast iron with porcelain enamel.
The legs are, I think, aluminum or something, and they have cuffs and plastic feet.
Overall, it’s pretty solid, and I’d describe it as very high quality, with two exceptions.
The cap is a little fragile. It’s plastic. After repeated use, it seems to weaken slightly and tends to unlock when you least want it – when you wear the grill. As soon as the lid is opened, the grate can fall directly out of the appliance and hit the floor.
Advantages and disadvantages of
- It is the ideal size for two people.
- Can be installed anywhere.
- Very easy to set up and store
- Very light and easy to carry
- Can be used as a work surface or as a stand-alone grid.
- Some problems with opening the lid when carrying it with you.
- In the mode, the cooking surface is low enough, only 29 ½ inches.
- The pen is made of plastic and is known to melt.
Reviews and recommendations
Feedback from customers
Cuisinart Petit Gourmet’s kitchen has received fairly positive reviews, with more satisfied customers than not, but there is certainly room for improvement.
The average customer rating does not reach 4 stars, 60% of the reviewers give it 4 stars or more.
Some negatives that really stand out:
- One of the appraisers compared it to the overpriced hibachi.
- Some owners have complained about the melting of paints and pens.
- Some got defective igniters and had to light a match.
The evaluators were satisfied with their grill and soon found it to be trouble-free and the ideal grill for their needs.

I don’t think Cuisinart Petit Gourmet is a good grill, but it could be worse.
It would be ideal for those who want to take something very easy, because if Little Gourmet is something, it is definitely portable. Pay attention to the cover guide!
Younger families wouldn’t mind, but I think the barbecue will be less useful if we don’t stick to hot dogs and drumsticks, because the children will inevitably grow up and eat more.
It’s really best for two or three people who need something very portable.

Customer evaluation :
I gave Petit Gourmet 3 stars for the quality of its products for two reasons. First of all, the lid can be opened very easily when the appliance is worn. It may not be a big problem for some people, but I don’t like having to stop and run my grill. The second reason is that customers have problems merging components.
The cleaning is attached to a star because the parts actually need to be removed with a screwdriver to reach the bottom of the oven and clean properly.
The cooking power was given 4 stars because it is grilled but takes a little longer.
If you want something bigger and easier to transport, the Blackstone Dash Portable Grill may be a good choice, but there are several reasons why it won’t work. For more information, read my Blackstone magazine.
The best choice within the Cuisinart brand can be the All Foods grill. Although I haven’t checked the Roll Away version with the dolly yet, it may be useful to do so. You can read my review of Cuisinart All Foods Tabletop Grill for a quick reference.
There is also a desktop version of the Cuisinart Petit Gourmet, available in different colours. I plan to look at it, but right now it’s on the Amazon.
Prices and sources of supply
I usually see Little Gourmet for $170, but sometimes you can find it for $150.
If you decide to purchase, I suggest that you purchase the device from a reputable supplier who will exchange or refund it without any problems, such as Amazon, so you don’t have to try to ensure that your warranty is respected if something goes wrong.
I recommend the nearest shopkeeper. Last time I checked, they had the best price, and it looks like they have it in stock. If I find a better price, I will update the box below.
