The electric grill gives you more flexibility. You can cook in rain, snow, wind and in almost all weather conditions. You don’t need propane or charcoal briquettes, which means the grill is worth almost nothing. Even better: Electric grids heat up quickly and are often easy to clean. What can you not like about electric grids?
Well, a lot of electric grills can hardly be called barbecue grills. Of course, they’ll make you dinner. But we want grilled food, not cooked food. Grilled food has a certain taste. Somehow it looks like this. He smells a certain way. Too many of today’s electric barbecues behave like beautiful frying pans.
I want to know which electric grills really deserve the title of grill. The electric bistro grill Char-Broil TRU with infrared lighting for terrace has a lot to offer. But does he meet my requirements? Will it be a grill like any coal or propane barbecue? Is it easy to check? No problem tidying up? I will answer all these questions and more in my review below. The pros and cons of this Char-Broil barbecue are weighed to determine whether it is worth it.

- At the end of the day we all want to feel like we’re barbecuing. Don’t come to me with a piece of space plastic and call it a grill. Bistro Patio Char-Broil is checked for its appearance It stands on four legs and reaches waist height. Too many electric barbecues are sold as small kitchenware. No charcoal grill, it’s designed to work and looks like any patio grill. As a bonus, the Patio Bistro grills are available in seven different colours. Red is my favorite, with chocolate graphite in second place.
Price: Fair and cheap electricity
- With a price tag of $150, Char-Broil is exactly the mix that combines the available grill with the convenience of a cosy barbecue. The result is a beautiful grill that can easily be mounted for half of the most decent place to start a gas barbecue. Char-Broil also searches the meat and all electric grills. You can easily save hundreds of dollars a year by not having to buy the expensive propane and charcoal briquettes. Just connect the grill and cook. Of course, your electricity bill will be a little higher. How can you compare the annual cost of electricity, which is $15, with the annual cost of propane, which is $150?
Compact design, adapts easily to theterrace.
- If you sell an electric grill, you probably live in an apartment where an open grill is not allowed. This is quite understandable, in fact it is the main reason why there are electric grids. When you buy an electric grill, you need a compact unit that fits on an enclosed terrace. Char-Broyl sneaks into every corner. If you need to move the grill, it’s even better with the integrated grill wheels for the Bistro Char-Broil Patio.
An efficient grill with infrared technology
- At Char-Broil Patio Bistro your meals will be grilled quickly. Although this grill is electrically powered, you can easily reach temperatures of 550 °F in less than thirty minutes. That’s what I call efficiency. You don’t have to wait for the coal to heat up and the gas to burn. Patio Bistro infrared technology distributes the heat evenly over the grill and ensures even preparation of the meat. No hotspots or refrigerators, only a universal cooking temperature.
Get the real taste of barbecue with wood chips
- Electric grills alone can never give the same smoky taste as charcoal. However, there are hackers who can circumvent this problem. To give the food a smoky taste, put the soaked fries on the foil. Fold the foil and make it tight. Drill respiratory plugs into the film. Then throw the chopped foil on the grill while it is heated for ten minutes and leave it there until the end of the cooking time. Now you get smoked meat from the electric grill. Say goodbye to the coal, it’s a big detour.
for beginners : Anyone can grill.
- The easiest way to start is with electric barbecues. So many charcoal grills are rejected by a bad experience with charcoal briquettes. Many people don’t want to invest in a high-tech propane grill. If you need a starter grill, take Bistro Char-Broil Patioseriously. Just turn the knob, watch the cooking time and temperature, and that’s it. In less than an hour you can get well seasoned meat without the hassle of gas and charcoal barbecues.
Have fun with small meetings
- With 240 square centimetres of main grill and an extra 80 square centimetres through the secondary grill, the can easily prepare 10 burgers at a time. Even in this case, you have extra space on this subnet. Onions, vegetables and grilled green peppers are the perfect choice for cooking on this second stand. The tailgate is also possible, just make sure you have access to a power outlet.
This grill is easy to clean
- It is essential to keep the electric grill clean. Your first task in keeping char clean is to rub olive oil or cooking oil on the cooking surface to create a non-stick coating. The next step in keeping the grill clean is to regularly wipe it with a damp, soapy paper towel. When you’re done cooking, let the grill cool down. When the grill has cooled down, wipe off both the grill and the metal lid. If the grille is particularly dirty, remove it from the grille and wipe the dustbin thoroughly with a wire brush. In general this is a super simple grill that needs to be kept clean, just make sure that a non-sticky layer of oil is formed over time.
more difficult to install than many power grids
- Most electric grills can be built in less than 30 minutes. That’s not the case with Char-Broyl. To build this grill, you need different tools – just a screwdriver and a wrench – to build this baby. Expect it to take a maximum of two hours, and an hour if you feel comfortable enough. I’ve read terrible stories about how people built this grill, but to be honest, it’s not that bad. If you are really worried about the difficulties of installing this grill, I recommend you take a look at the George Foreman Electric Grill.
No tool standard
- Many barbecues today are equipped with an integrated tool holder that allows you to store all your favourite barbecue tools. That’s not the case with Char-Broil Patio Bistro Grill. A clear disappointment if this is the only grill you have. There is a small grate between the hob and the floor so you can store your tools. However, it looks dirty and the wind can blow the instruments off stage. It is probably best to just store the tool there or somehow adapt the tool storage system to this grid.
Temperature drops rapidly when grill is open
- Although this charcoal grill is incredibly hot, you will notice a sharp drop in temperature every time you open it. If you open this grill, you can lose up to 50 °F in less than thirty seconds. Oops! But don’t worry, that doesn’t mean the kitchen will take hours. My advice is simple: Be patient with your food and trust the roasting process. Do not open the lid every two minutes to check the food. Keep the process simple. Turn the meat over if you have to. Check the temperature of the meat when you’re sure it’s almost ready. And finally, put the meat away when you’ve finished cooking. Simply open the lid four or five times to grill. The heat builds up quickly.
Short power cable
- Three feet is all you get for a Char-Broil power cord. Then, in my old house, about three meters would not have been enough to reach the exit where my grill was. Of course you can always use extension cords, but most manufacturers of electric barbecues warn against using extension cords for fear of electric fires. Here’s my advice: Before you buy, make sure you have a place near the point of sale on the street.

Do you need a more affordable electric grill?
Looking for experience with electric grilling?
- Weber Q2400 electric grill I am sure I am satisfied.
- Otherwise, the Weber Q2400 electric grill is becoming increasingly popular in all areas of electric grilling. Compared to the Char-Broil Patio bistro grill the Weber Q2400 is built as a tank. The all-metal housing of the Weber Q2400 seems much more comfortable and durable than the half-metal housing of the Char-Broil grill. The surface of the Weber grill looks much more like a traditional grill. If you don’t like round grids, you should use the Weber Q2400. Finally, the Weber Q2400 is the best grill, but it costs almost twice as much as the Char-Broil Patio Bistro Grill.

Do you need an internal electric grill?
- See Delangi Perfecto indoor grill .
- Trying to grill in with the Bistro Char-Broil Patio would be a big mistake. Although this grill is made with TRU infrared technology, it emits too much smoke to keep it indoors. If you need an internal electric grill, the Delonghi Perfecto is a good choice. You don’t get those beautiful fingerprints from Char-Broil, but the frying experience is still there. Delongs are my first choice when it comes to closed gratings.
- The Char-Broil Patio electric bistro grill will surprise those who doubt the efficiency of the electric grill. Do you need an electric grill plate that can leave serious search marks when cooking at high temperatures? Char-Broyl really offers that front. The Small Meeting Grill is my favorite part of this barbecue, it just serves its purpose. Many design flaws have damaged Char-Broil, in fact these are only minor long-term inconveniences. For $150 or less, this grill will bring great benefits to all residents of apartments, flats and electric barbecues. In total, the Char-Broil Patio electric bistro grill gets 3.5 out of 5 stars.
