Weber Q2200 Liquid Propane Gill
The Q2200 (see overview) is the largest of the real portable Weber grills. This is an update of the very popular Q220, which has always been a small, solid, well-built and ready-to-use grill.
Weber has made some improvements and updates to the grill. Let’s first look at the quick functions and then continue the discussion.
- Single channel burner
- 12,000 BTU
- Kitchen space 280 square centimetres
- enamelled cast porcelain grill
- folding side tables
- Fire grids
Cleaning is easy thanks to the removable lubricant container. Despite the low BTU, the grill cooks everything you throw at it perfectly. The convex lid also makes it possible to cook a medium-sized whole bird.
Mr. Weber has added a new split grid system to the Q2200, which means you can use one grid on one half and the other half. This also makes cleaning the grids even easier than before.
Adding a wheelbarrow increases the price by about $ 70, which increases the total price to use it as a barbecue on wheels in the backyard. However, the ability to transfer it when you need it is easily accessible and Weber grills last longer than any other product on the market. It always makes sense to invest in this quality.
Think of your limits (only one burner, less space to cook), but if you can live with it, it’s a nice grill that will give you long pleasure.

Coal gas2 Coal gas 3-Grill
Gas2Coal de Char-Broil receives a joint editorial selection for the innovations it brings.
You can turn this grill into a charcoal grill by simply adding a charcoal plate to the burners. It is a fantastic concept that works very well in practice.
- 540 square centimetres of the total cooking surface
- 3 stainless steel burners
- 40,000 BTU
- BTU side burner 12 000
- converts from gas to coal with a simple panel.
- Cast porcelain gratings
With this grill you get a lot of space and warmth. The main kitchen is 420 square centimetres and has a 120 square inch stove. Add to that other necessary features such as a thermometer and electronic ignition and you have a great grill at an affordable price.
The main attraction is of course that you can make both coal and gas barbecues in a fairly compact unit. It’s a good grill and it’s worth thinking about the price.

Dina-Glo 30,000 BTU 2 Gas grille for burner
Dyna-Glo grills are a classic mix of quality parts and short distances between them. It was one of my favourite grills when it came out a couple of years ago, but because it had more custom rental data, I had to downgrade it a bit because there were concerns about some of the internal parts.
Although I still believe that this is a good whim at a price that offers considerable value, you should be aware of a number of things. The important characteristics are listed here first and then we go deeper into the product.
– 2 stainless steel burners
– 30,000 BTU
– primary range 350 square inches
– total range 547 square inches
– enamelled cast iron grids
Some minor problems have infected this grill. The heat grid is low, making it difficult to work directly underneath the meat. The grids are also located near the burners, which can contribute to the development of fires. The heat distribution is also not 100% uniform and there are hotspots, but in this price range this is normal for the track.
Since I first wrote about this grill, there have been some problems with the durability of the internal parts. Thermal tent supports in particular seem to have a limited lifespan. What is worrying is that these parts do not seem to be available individually, but can only be replaced by a new furnace.
However, it is a well-built grill that generates a lot of heat and looks like a champion, while offering a good temperature control range for cooking at a lower temperature. You get more value for money, but don’t forget that your life expectancy is limited.

Dina-Glo 36,000 BTU 3-B9
This is a really good Dine-Glo grill. Three burners develop 36,000 BTU and cover a relatively small primary cooking area of 390 square centimetres. Sensible design choices and quality materials (metal rollers, oh yes) shine here, and for $300 (Amazon’s currently discounted price) it offers even more value than its two-burner siblings.
– 3 stainless steel burners – 36,000 BTU – primary cooking surface 390 square centimetres – total cooking surface 507 square centimetres – enamelled cast iron grids – porcelain grids
Although it offers a little more space for the primary treatment, it takes up less space than the 2-burner model due to the smaller heating grid.
With three burners in a relatively small kitchen area you get a very even heat distribution. They’re not U-shaped burners, they’re straight. But they do an excellent job of distributing the heat. It’s a really good grill to cook on.
There are rust problems because parts such as heating tents and heaters are not made of stainless steel.
Practical side shelves with an integrated towel rail and three hooks for tools on each shelf are a nice change. This grill provides even cooking, heats up quickly for good research and is well constructed. For the price, it’s a very good deal.

Thermos flask Gas grill 4-burner
The thermos is a brand of charcoal barbecue, so you can probably say with certainty that it is a charcoal barbecue.
What does this big old 4-burner grill do in such a low price range? Well, Char-Broil certainly focuses on the value market by producing large grills at very attractive prices.
No, you don’t have a stainless steel grill that lasts ten years. However, if you want to cook big for a number of years at a low entry price, then you are part of the market for this grill.
– 4 burners
– 48,000 BTU
– 10,000 BTU side burners
– primary cooker 480 square inches
– secondary cooker 208 square inches
– porcelain coated cast iron grids
– electronic ignition
A decent grill for a very good price, with enough space to cook, comes right out of the box. You will receive all basic functions, including the thermometer and the side burner. Charcoal barbecues are an old tradition in the production of barbecues, so the performance and quality expected from the barbecue come straight out of the box.
However, as with most domestic grills, many important parts are not made of stainless steel. In a few years they will rust or refuse to wear out. Like I said at the beginning, they’re not designed for decades, so you get them at stupid prices. In general, the Thermos 4 stoves are the perfect grill for their target market, with great value and good cuisine.

The Weber Q2200 remains the best option in this category for a simple integrated grill with a reasonable cooking surface and portability for loading.
However, Char-Broil has taken on a difficult challenge with the innovative Gas2Coal model, and I can’t say too much about it. It offers you the best of the world of gas and coal in a surprisingly compact unit.
Dyna-Glo grills still deserve some attention when we realize that we won’t have the same life we had with Weber.
